5-Year Limited Voluntary Warranty
Effective: January 2026
1. Warranty Overview
This voluntary warranty applies to all new Brightr® Sleep mattress toppers purchased directly from Brightr Sleep or an authorised retailer.
- Valid for 5 years from delivery
- Applies only to the original purchaser
- Non-transferable
- Applies to private household use only
👉 This warranty is voluntary and provided in addition to your statutory rights (which remain fully unaffected).
2. What is covered
This warranty covers manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship, including:
2.1 Excessive indentation (body impressions)
When placed on a flat, suitable surface:

| 0–12 months | 15 mm |
| 12–24 months | 20 mm |
| 24–36 months | 25 mm |
| 36–48 months | 30 mm |
| 48–60 months | 35 mm |
👉 Indentations within these limits are considered normal use.
2.2 Structural defects
- Foam splitting or cracking (not caused by misuse)
- Loss of structural integrity beyond normal wear
2.3 Functional defects
- Faulty zippers or closures
- Manufacturing issues affecting usability
2.4 Cover defects
- Covered for 1 year only
- Remedy may be replacement of cover only
3. What is NOT covered
This warranty does not cover:
- Natural softening of foam over time
- Normal wear and tear
- Personal comfort preferences
- Stains, spills, odors, or hygiene issues
- Use without a protective cover
- Use on an unsuitable mattress or base
- Improper use (force, moisture, mold, modifications)
- Failure to:
- Rotate topper head-to-toe monthly (first 3 months)
- Then every 3 months
- Commercial or non-private use
4. How to make a claim

Include:
- Proof of purchase
- Photos of the defect
- Photos of the topper on a flat surface
- Description of the issue
👉 Claims must be submitted within 30 days of noticing the issue
We may request additional information.
5. Warranty solution
This warranty provides repair or replacement only (no refunds).
5.1 Years 0–2 (Full coverage)
If a valid defect is confirmed:
- Free repair or replacement
- Replacement with same or comparable model
- Shipping covered by Brightr Sleep
5.2 Years 3–5 (Pro-rata replacement)
If a defect occurs after 2 years:
You receive a credit toward a new topper based on your original purchase price:

👉 You pay the difference between the credit and the current price.
Example
If your topper cost €200 and fails in Year 4:
- You receive €80 credit (40%)
- You pay the remaining amount for a new topper
6. Important conditions
- Warranty does not restart after replacement
- Replacement products are covered for the remaining original period only
- We may request return of the defective product
7. General notes
- Product must be used as intended (sleeping use only)
- Warranty applies within the EU / Germany market
- We reserve the right to:
- Repair
- Replace
- Offer equivalent product
8. Legal notice
This is a voluntary manufacturer warranty.
👉 Your statutory rights (Gewährleistung under §§ 434 ff. BGB) are not affected and apply independently.
